About Repair Technology, LLC
Today, Repair Technology and Banks Industrial Group are thriving companies located in West Berlin, NJ.
Gary Banks was born in Pennsylvania and raised as the son of a salesman. After graduating from Penn State University with an Associate’s Degree, his first job at Kmart brought him to New Jersey. His industrial and sales career started with Leak Repairs Inc, allowing him to follow in his father’s footsteps. He continued his education at night and received his Bachelors Degree in Business from Rutgers University in Camden, NJ.
After several industrial sales jobs, Gary found himself at an industrial insulation company specialized in pipe insulation and insulating bulk liquid storage tanks. After three years, his division shut down and Gary left the company in 2003 and established his own insulation company in the spare bedroom of his home.
He created Banks Industrial Group, LLC as a part time job while he worked in sales with an asbestos abatement company. After 9 months, Gary decided that the insulation work was his future and he turned his efforts full time into developing his business. As the company expanded and its customer base grew, Gary acquired local Belzona distributor Repair Technology, LLC in 2008, inheriting the New Jersey, Delaware, Eastern Pennsylvania and Western New York territories that came along with it. The facility was originally located in Pennsylvania and employed two people.
Today, Repair Technology and Banks Industrial Group are thriving companies located in West Berlin, NJ with nineteen employees. Our problem solving focus drives our sales, and our safe and reliable installation processes keep our clients at ease. Gary’s 30+ years’ experience in the petrochemical and utility markets benefits each and every one of his customers by helping them resolve maintenance issues in a safe and cost effect manner.
Gary won’t let the success of his businesses interfere from two closely held values: family and giving back to the community. Both businesses emphasize a “family first” approach for their employees, and Gary maintains a strong charitable presence in the South Jersey community. In addition to supporting Ronald McDonald House and Hopeworks in Camden, NJ, Gary has personally administered the GIFT (God’s Interfaith Food Table) food bank in Berlin, NJ since 1998.
